Purpose: Father's Day handout

As a member of the non-denominational Celebration Bible Church in 2000, I volunteered to create a flyer as part of a special Father's Day service. It took the form of a two-sided, one-page newsletter created in Microsoft Works. In addition to creating the black-and-white bitmap drawings with Microsoft Paint, I researched the information on the origins of Father's Day, well-known dadisms (fatherly sayings), and biblical references to fatherhood.

CBC's pastor at the time, Jack Hakimian, now leads a youth ministry in Burbank, California known as Unshakable.org.

Many of the "Famous Fatherly Phrases" came with me to Immanuel First Lutheran Church, and are now on a web page titled "Dawn of the Dadisms".
